Europe is in turmoil, from the European Commision to the individual countries not just of the EU but from Armenia and Georgia in the Caucauses to France,Ireland and the UK in the West. Its politicians, politics and systems are failling and the politicians claim is not their fault.
The one common denominator is Russia and how is is blamed for all the woes and misfortunes that are engulfing the countries of Europe,
Lets start in the Caucauses and Georgia, a really nice little country I have visited a few times which has a great rugby team Los Lelos and produces great wine and brandy, probably famous for the first country to experience a western financed and organised colour revolution the Rose Revolution in 2003 which then paved the way for many others including the Maidan in the Ukraine in 2014.
In Georgia, the Americans and Europeans are actively involved in an attempt to unseat the democratically elected Georgian Dream party's government, in circumstances that are genuinely baffling.
The EU had previously frozen the accession process for Georgia in July of this year, and the Georgian government's decision to resume negotiations before this indefinite freeze is lifted has caused significant concern. The current President of Georgia, who is in fact a French diplomat, appears to be intent on remaining in office until the scheduled regime change, despite the fact that her constitutionally allotted term is coming to an end. She is widely praised in EU capitals and Washington as a modern-day Joan of Arc.But as far as I can see the only things she has in common with the Maid of Orlean who was burned at the stake for being a witch is they both are French born and have serious delusions about their power. Plus I don't think Salome will go down in Geogian history like Joan of Arc but her carreer will go down the toilet.
Now onto Ukraine now from the start of the conflict, it has been obviousto anybody with an IQ above room temp that without f direct active NATO troops being involved, there was no way Ukraine would emerge victorious and that was obvious even back in the days of the Istanbul agreements which Doris Johnson the US useful idiot was sent to Kiev to meet with the Kiev Cokehead to scupper the agreenemt
Forgeting for a moment the huge losses in terms of Human lives lost, injuries sustained, and cities destroyed since the war began in 2022, Ukraine's economy has completely collapsed as has its birth rate and half its population has fled abroad.
In spite of this, U.S. and European leaders keep encouraging Zelensky to continue fighting to the last Ukrainian. Now his electoral term has past President, Zelensky clings to power, lauded as a hero by his many admirers in the West, who claim to support democratic values.
From the outset of the conflict, it has been evident that, in the absence of direct NATO involvement, Ukraine would be unable to achieve victory. Setting aside the significant human toll in terms of lives lost, injuries sustained, and cities destroyed since the war began in 2022, Ukraine's economy has suffered considerable damage.
In France the government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier has collapsed due to its efforts to navigate a highly unpopular budgetary plan. This plan would necessitate a challenging combination of tax increases and spending cuts, and it is currently being considered by parliament without a vote. One of the key factors contributing to his imminent failure is the anti-democratic tendencies of his previous employer, the European Commission.Plus, it reflects the growing appeal of the so called far-right Front Nationaleunder Marine Le Pen, as well as a surge in populist parties across Europe. These parties are expressing their frustration with ailure of the political class to address moral issues effectively.
In Germany, the Rainbow Coalition of Olaf Scholz has become mired in controversy as irreconcilable differences emerge regarding spending and the provision of significant financial and military support to Ukraine. Germany is facing a challenging fiscal environment due to its collapsing economy, which is lnow far ess competitive than the U.S. and even the Eurozone average. The significant rise in energy prices in Germany has also had a seriously adverse impact. Its is pretty obvious that it is does not make fincail sense to stop buy cheap Russian Russian pipeline gas which was the backbone of the German economic miracle of the 2000's and move to buyin American liquefied natural gas at at leats 2-3 times the of Russian gas.
The car maker Volkswagen has announced plans to close at least three factories in Germany and make ten thousand staff redundant. The chemicals giant BASF has decided to up sticks to both China and the USA were energy costs are cheaper and where their main customers are.
Althous everybody knows but the media will not admit it the US blew up the Nord Stream gas pipeline , although the official line is still that Russia is to blame.
In the UK energy bills are the some of the highest in Europe and the Government blames Russia for while its insane Green Energy policies drive up prices because of subsidies to to so called renewables add huge amounts to household bills. Industry in the UK has pretty much given up as it cannot take on the lunatic in charge of the UK's energy policy Mad Red Ed Miliband a man with no knowledge or experience in the energy sector who could not even wire an electric plug.
Plus the UK Government have come up with a novel way for its pensioners to save money and the Government too. It took away thier winter fuel allowance so tens of thousands will die from the cold and not use energy plus the Govt saves on paying them pensions. Those who said Rachel Thieves the chancellor of thr excheaquer who masquerades as an ecomomist was stupidare wrong, she is wicked and vindictive, she saves on pensions and the winter fuel alowance plus she does not have to pay pensions to dead people who will never vote for her party.
It seems that all of Europes problems are blamed on Vladimir Putin and Russia
It is becoming pretty obvious that Eastern European countries are curently embracing nationalist ideologies, a development that cannot be ignored. Russia's role in this shift is being magnified. Even President Yoon Suk Yeol's unsuccessful attempt to impose martial law on an open, democratic and modern South Korea was attributed, at least in part, to Russia, given its strategic alignment with North Korea. Allegedly President Putin's influence is eveywhere.
A constant outporing by state-sponsored media portrays President Putin as the most malevolent figure in history. Since 2014, the British Foreign Office has had a dedicated propaganda unit with the objective of reporting on the Russian leader Vladimir Putin's perceived missteps and the UK's purported successes in countering them.
Defining an enemy is essentia in order to justify the propaganda campaign.Currently European citizens are now forced to accept economic hardship, lower living standards, high inflation, rising energy costs and an increased risk of nuclear annihilation in order to defeat Vladmir the Terrible. Which incidently is highly unlikely to happen infact its European leaders that are falling with monotonies regularity.
Since 2014, European elites have been inextricably tied linked to a U.S. Democratic Party focus on countering Russian influence due to their reservations about engaging with Putin. This has resulted in the almost complete severance of economic ties between Europe and Russia, which ha proveding to be a self-destructive move for Europe esecially . The crisis economic relations has undoubtedly contributed to the rise in nationalism and political tension across Europe, as citizens struggle to meet their financial obligations and ask questions about their country's involvement in an unwarranted conflict.
Its pretty obvious that the peace that has been maintained prevailed in mainland Europe after World War II was largely was because warring countries now seek to strengthen economic ties and establish reasons for harmonious coexistence. We are, in a progressive and dangerous manner, eroding the legacy of peace that was hard-won.
Perhaps the greatest irony, although but not the most surprising aspect, all this confict in Europe has only benefited the U.S. economy. I recall the efforts made by the U.S. as early as 2014 to prevent Russia from constructing new gas pipelines into Europe, coinciding with the advent of the American fracking revolution. The U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has recently made it clear that the United States is interested in accessing trillions of dollars' worth of rare and precious minerals in Ukraine. This is presented as a justification for pumping billions of dollars' worth of weapons into a losing war. Additionally, Graham pledged to take action against European economies that sought to enforce the International Criminal Court arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The double standards with the attitude to the warrant on Vladimir Putin is glaringly obvious.
In my view, Trump may be a marginally more effective U.S. president than Biden, given the potential for him to facilitate a peace agreement with Zelensky. However, it is evident that Trump's primary interest in Europe is limited to preventing the unnecessary expenditure of U.S. taxpayer funds on Ukraine. Furthermore, he has pledged to impose tariffs of 10-20% on European goods and to take decisive action against any country that supports the development of a BRICS currency.
The situation in Europe is becoming increasingly unstable, with the potential for self-destruction.
A significant number of Europeans have been convinced that severing all ties with Russia would guarantee their safety. In fact, it increases the likelihood of a a major conflict. I believe that the United States bears a greater responsibility for this situation than Russia.
