Germany's shameful cover up of Nord Streams continues

By Rhod Mackenzie

The German Government' shameful and cowardly cover up of the culprits behind the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines continues
Lets reacll on the night of 26 September 2022, explosions occurred on the pipelines of the Nord Streams. Three of the 4 pipelines were damaged .The explosions occurred in the Danish Exclusive Economic Zone southeast of the island of Bornholm. Huge Gas leaks from both Nord Stream pipelines were also recorded northeast of Bornholm.

The German government will not make public and publish the interim conclusions of the investigation into the Nord Stream explosions. This is stated in the German government's answer to the AfD Bundestag depuy Steffen Kotre, seen by newspaper Izvestiya of which I have obtained a copy. The document admits that on the eve of the terrorist attacks the German authorities "did not provide any special security measures" for these gas pipelines.

At the same time, Berlin does not rule out any version of the events and cannot name a specific suspect or reason for the sabotage due to a lack of "irrefutable evidence".
I mean what the heck do they want? a signed confession?
At the same time, the German authorities continue to refuse to cooperate with Russia on the issue or allow them to examine the site of the sabotage or even share information with them .

The AfG member of the Bundestag told Izvestiya that the government was "obviously hiding many facts". In particular, who was actually be behind the terrorist attacks which was the largest act of industrial sabotage in history.

Back in April 2024, a group of MPs from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party asked the German government about the progress of the investigation into the explosions of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. The opposition received an answer from the German government on 17 July.

In a 27-page report has been seen by Izvestiya, the authorities answered nearly 100 questions from lawmakers (some were left uncommented on due to the sensitivity of the information) - ranging from cooperation with the US government to the reasons why the search for the culprits is taking so long. The German government, in particular, made it clear that it did not intend to release any details about the progress of the investigation.

"Neither the Federal Government nor the Federal Prosecutor's Office have considered the possibility of publishing or making available preliminary or interim results of the investigation, as this would jeopardise the purpose of the investigation," the German authorities said in their response.
At the same time, the authorities noted that "the federal government did not provide any special security for Nord Stream before the explosions.

The sabotage by explosions of three gas pipelines (two Nord Stream pipelines and one Nord Stream 2 pipeline) occurred on 26 September 2022. On 10 October 2022, the German Federal Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation into the incident. Denmark and Sweden launched their own investigations in the same year.
Do bear in mind that these pipelines were at a depth of 100m at the bottom of the Baltic Sea and were made of concrete reinforced steel so no exactly easy to damage or destroy.

Berlin, as stated in the cabinet report, did not involve any foreign experts in atempting to establishing the facts, but at the same time it is actively cooperating internationally in the investigation. However, the German side refused to disclose any details of exactly who is involved and from where.
"The Federal Prosecutor's Office and the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany are providing legal assistance in the investigation of the sabotage and are exchanging information with law enforcement agencies of a number of other countries.
But they don't actually name them
Otherwise, the investigating authorities do not comment on questions of international judicial cooperation," the report t said.

Earlier, Danish police had closed their investigation into the explosions at the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, citing a lack of grounds to open a criminal case. Sweden followed suit. The country's authorities concluded that there was no one to prosecute for the incident, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said.
Of course, move along now, nothing to see here, this is just the biggest industrial sabotage in history and its treated with less seriousness than a minot traffic colliosion

The fact that some countries have completed their investigations has been called absurd by the Kremlin.which of course it is. Lets be honest everybody knows the USA did it with some help from the UK and Norway and they did it under the cover of a Nato excersise in the Baltic Sea.But the Germans, the Danes and the Swedes are afraid to admit it .

"On the one hand there is recognition that there was deliberate sabotage, but on the other hand there is no progress," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, assessing the results of the work of Danish law enforcement agencies.
Russia has repeatedly called for an international investigation involving Russian experts. However, there has been no positive response to this initiative from Moscow, either from Berlin or from other countries.

"They have been silent for six months now, like a fish on ice, and since September neither the Swedes nor the Danes have responded to official letters from our Prime Minister Mishustin, who very politely offered to name a contact person with whom it would be possible to hold a conversation, since this happened in territorial waters in the exclusive zone of Sweden and Denmark, and the pipelines are the property of a Russian company," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said last year.

It is obvious that Germany has not changed its position on this issue.
"Despite repeated appeals from the Russian side, the German authorities continue to reject all proposals for an open international investigation into the terrorist attacks on Europe's largest energy infrastructure facility," Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechayev recently noted.
The German government, responding to a question from members of the Bundestag, complained that the investigation was being hampered by the lack of clear suspects.

"A rapid success in the investigation is possible if the perpetrators are caught in the act, reliable and credible confessions are found, or irrefutable evidence is found in some other way. This is not the case here," the German authorities said.

The country's government reported that the German Federal Public Prosecutor's Office does not see any point in offering a reward for information that could help the investigation. At the same time, the Alternative for Germany party suggested late last year that a cash reward should be offered for information that could help the investigation into the causes of the pipeline sabotage.
According to the government report, the German authorities are considering all versions of what happened. According to one version, a Ukrainian group of saboteurs was behind the gas pipeline explosions, having reached the site where the explosives were planted on the yacht.
"As part of the General Prosecutor's investigation into acts of sabotage, officers from the Federal Criminal Police Office and the Federal Police in Dranske on the island of RĂ¼gen searched the sailing yacht Andromeda on 18 January 2023," the government said.

The journalists who voiced this version suggest that all or some of the saboteurs with forged passports rented the Andromeda and used it to place explosives on the bottom of the Baltic Sea, which disabled two lines of the Nord Stream and one of the Nord Stream 2 pipelines.
Now this story put out by the CIA is too absurd to be taken seriously as there is no way 4 people in a sailboat could dive down to 100 metres. Its simply not possible.Scuba divers can operate at a maximum depth of 30m and to blow up Nord Stream you need specialist equipment and high explosives which only a military team would have.

"The Prosecutor General's Office is investigating all the main reasons for the acts of sabotage that make sense from a forensic point of view. For this reason, neither the Federal Prosecutor's Office nor the Federal Government have any reason to rule out certain circumstances or motives for the crime until the investigation has been completed," the German government said.
Based on the answers received by the AfD party, the government assumes, among other things, that the sabotage could have been carried out by the Russian side, so that the blame would fall on the Americans or the Ukrainians, one of the authors of the motion, Bundestag deputy Yevgeny Schmidt, told Izvestia.

"In this case, the government's main goal is to divert attention from the real perpetrator," he told Izvestia. "I also see the version with the yacht Andromeda as an attempt to divert both the investigation and the focus of public opinion from the main suspect."
According to him, the German government's behaviour actually rules out the possibility that the United States or Norway, for example, could bear primary or partial responsibility for the terrorist attacks.

"The German government knows that Russia is not responsible for the bombing," added Steffen Kotre, a member of the Bundestag, in an interview with Izvestiya. "Ukrainian forces are probably behind what happened, but they could not have done it alone. There was a force behind them. At the same time, Germany is obviously hiding a lot of facts.
The version that Kyiv could have carried out such an operation alone is really hard to believe. In particular, it is unclear how a small yacht could have delivered enough explosives to the site of the sabotage to blow up large infrastructure facilities.

According to the famous American journalist Seymour Hersh, the US government is behind the sabotage. He claims that the Biden administration blew up the pipelines, but that this action had "little to do" with ensuring victory or ending the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the US did it out of fear that Washington might lose influence in Europe, especially in Germany. In addition, Hersh claims that Norway was interested in the sabotage, which, with the Nord Stream pipeline out of action, gave it additional opportunities to increase its natural gas supplies to Western European countries.

The Russians have previously said that US intelligence services were probably involved in the incident.
"I don't want to go into details, but in such cases they always say: look for someone who is interested. In this case we have to look not only for someone who is interested, but also for someone who can do it. Because there may be many interested people, but not everyone can crawl to the bottom of the Baltic Sea and carry out this explosion," said Vladimir Putin, for example.
It is worth noting that before the sabotage, Joe Biden had said that Nord Stream 2 would not work in the event of a Russian "invasion" of Ukraine. Subsequently, his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre noted that the US president was not talking about destroying the gas pipeline, but that it would simply not be put into operation.

In its responses, the German government gave no information about US plans to send divers to the site of the explosion to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Although Biden promised to do so in September 2022 to find out "what really happened" in the situation of the Nord Stream explosion.
So the mystery of Nord Stream continues as the Media continues to treat people as idiots as they publish the official narrative that nobody knows who did it. Although you don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to work it out.
