During August 2023, Kazakhstan plans to send 100 thousand tons of oil to Germany via the main oil pipeline ( MNP ) Druzhba . This was reported on August 6, 2023 by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, commenting on the situation with the shutdown of one branch of the Druzhba MNP due to depressurization at a section in Poland. In August of this year, it is planned to transport oil in the direction of the acceptance point ( PSN ) of oil Samara for its further delivery in the direction of the PSN Adamova Zastava (Germany) from the resources of CJSC Karachaganak Petroleum Operating in the amount of 100 thousand tons;
The itinerary order for the acceptance and delivery at the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Russian Federation was issued on July 31, 2023;
In the period from 3 to 5 August, 11.6 thousand tons of oil were received at the PSN Bolshoi Chagan, the rest of the volume will be received from 6 to 29 August;
The transportation in the direction of PSN Samara is planned to be carried out in the period from 25 to 29 August of the current year;
We expect delivery in the direction of PSN Adamova Zastava in the last days of August 2023, approximately in the period from 28 to 30 August.
On August 6, 2023, the operator of the Polish section of the MNP Druzhba, PERN, reported that one of the 2 branches of the oil pipeline in the direction of Germany was disconnected due to a leak in the section in Poland.
The accident occurred near the town of Khodech in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in the central part of Poland.
At the same time, it was noted that the 2nd branch of the oil pipeline is functioning without changes, there is no threat to the life and health of local residents.
PERN does not comment on the fact of the oil leak, saying that it is in constant contact with the regional environmental inspectorate in Wloclawek.
On August 7, 2023 it became known that PERN plans to restore the pumping of oil through the damaged branch of the western section of the oil pipeline going to Germany, August 8, 2023
For 2023, KazTransOil has a quota from Russian Transneft for the transportation of 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil to Germany via the Druzhba MNP, but at the current pace of supplies, it is unlikely to be selected.
Oil transit will take place within the framework of the relevant agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia dated June 7, 2002.
Transneft confirmed that it received an application from KazTransOil for the whole of 2023, of which 300 thousand tons of oil - for the 1st quarter .
Lets recall that oil supplies from Kazakhstan to Germany began in February 2023.
As of early July, Kazakhstan transported 290,000 tons of oil to Germany.
MNP Druzhba originates near the city of Samara, passes through the city of Bryansk to Mozyr and then branches into 2 sections:
northern (through the territory of Belarus in the direction of Poland and Germany), southern (through the territory of Ukraine in the direction of Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic).
The transportation of oil from the Russian Federation to Poland through the MNP Druzhba was stopped at the end of February.
In Germany, the pumping of Russian oil through the MNP has not been carried out since the beginning of 2023.
