At the VIII Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) held in Vladivostok on 10-13 September, 373 agreements worth 3.8 trillion roubles were signed. The largest were for projects in the Amur region, Trans-Baikal, the Khabarovsk Territory and Primorye. In addition to Russia's friends, there were representatives from the US, Britain, Japan, Germany and France that took part in the EEF, the regional government's press service reported.
"In addition to the traditionally friendly countries, all the countries that are not very friendly to Russia took part in the Eastern Economic Forum. These include the US, the UK, Japan, Germany and France. On the sidelines of the forum, 373 agreements were signed for a total of 3 trillion 818 billion roubles. The largest projects were signed by the Amur region - 173 billion roubles, the Trans-Baikal region - 76 billion roubles, the Khabarovsk region - 72 billion roubles and the Primorsky region - 56 billion roubles," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Government and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Far Eastern Federal District.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, 41 agreements were signed with foreign companies, including 26 with Chinese companies. Yakutia (21 agreements worth 326 billion roubles), the Amur region (18 agreements worth 173 billion roubles) and the Trans-Baikal region (13 agreements worth 76 billion roubles) were the leading regions in terms of the volume of agreements signed.
In particular, VEB.RF, Sberbank, the Ministry of Eastern Development of the Russian Federation and the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic (JSC "KRDV") signed an agreement on the implementation of investment projects totalling 1.097 trillion roubles in the Far Eastern Federal District. JSC KRDV signed a 136 billion ruble agreement with Port Elga LLC on cooperation in the construction of a coal marine terminal in the Khabarovsk Territory in the area of Cape Manorsky in the Sea of Okhotsk. JSC KRDV and Antey Asset Management LLC signed a 124 billion ruble agreement for the construction of eight crab fishing vessels, two port infrastructure complexes, and the purchase of 10 plots of land for crab production. JSC "KRDV" and LLC "Russian Crab" agreed on the construction of 10 crab fishing vessels and the purchase of 10 plots for crab production (for a total amount of 120 billion roubles).
The forum also saw the signing of a number of agreements on housing construction. For example, Sber and the developer Unikey agreed to cooperate investing a total of of 68 billion roubles into the construction of residential buildings in the form of project financing in Khabarovsk Territory, Jewish Autonomous Region, Moscow and Moscow Region. JSC KRDV and LLC SZ Project-Strana-3 (GK Samolet) signed a contract for 65.8 billion rubles for the implementation of the Far Eastern Quarter programme in the city of Korsakov, Sakhalin Region. JSC "KRDV" and OOO "Specialised Developer "River Port "Yakutsk"" expressed their readiness to build a residential microdistrict on the territory of the Yakutsk river port. FOO "SZ "RIA Alpha" and "DOM.RF" agreed on the integrated development of residential areas of several blocks of Yakutsk;
