Mishustin revealed the share of national currencies in Russia’s settlements with Kyrgyzstan in 2023

The share of national currencies in interstate settlements between Russia and Kyrgyzstan exceeded 88% last year, said the Rusian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“It is important that Russian-Kyrgyz interaction and trade and economic cooperation are developing successfully. In January-November last year, mutual trade turnover reached the level of 285 billion rubles. The share of national currencies in interstate settlements exceeded 88%,” Mishustin said during a meeting with the chairman of the cabinet Ministers of Kyrgyzstan - the head of the presidential administration of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov.
He noted that this is of particular importance for protecting the interaction between Russia and Kyrgyzstan from illegal sanctions of the collective West.

Mishustin emphasized that Russia is the largest investment partner in the Kyrgyz economy.
“Joint projects are being implemented in such industries as manufacturing, geological exploration, and mining. We are creating new jobs in various regions of Kyrgyzstan, strengthening interregional ties, including through small and medium-sized businesses,” said the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

He also noted the effective work of the Russian-Kyrgyz intergovernmental commission. “We have good opportunities to expand our horizons of cooperation. We propose to work more actively in the energy sector, including on renewable sources, peaceful nuclear energy, transport infrastructure, and issues related to the development of the digital economy. We count on the government of Kyrgyzstan will continue to provide comfortable working conditions for Russian companies,” Mishustin said.

The head of the Russian government conveyed the best wishes to the President of Kyrgyzstan from the Russian leader and expressed his readiness to discuss all pressing issues on the bilateral agenda.

“We are sincerely interested in strengthening friendly and partnership relations with Kyrgyzstan,” he emphasized.

In turn, Japarov said that he was glad to have the opportunity to discuss current issues of bilateral cooperation.

“I would like to inform you that yesterday I had a constructive and open meeting with the team led by Alexey Sergeevich Besprozvannykh (Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation - ed.) in Bishkek. Alexey Sergeevich and his team had a very busy program with field trips and meetings with the relevant government agencies of our country. I am confident that our meeting today will provide an additional opportunity to compare notes on the prospects for bilateral cooperation,” he said.

Delegations of the two countries were also present at the meeting.
