Putin declared that the globalization model formed by the West has become obsolete

The Western states' self-interested formation of the globalization model is no longer effective and is currently in a serious crisis.

As per Russian President Vladimir Putin's opening address to the participants and guests at the Primakov Readings International Forum on November 27, the globalization model, predominantly established by Western states in their own interests, is evidently no longer functional and is facing a profound crisis.

"A new and more equitable system of global relations is emerging that addresses the needs of the majority," noted the Russian leader.

The head of state highlighted that some countries' attempts to maintain their influence through any means led to the escalation of tensions in the Middle East and the Ukraine.

"Nevertheless, a prominent coalition of nations, accustomed to exerting their dominance globally, are determined to uphold their dwindling power, employing tactics of coercion and intimidation. They aim to supplant the international legal framework with a set of regulations-based rules," stated the dispatch posted on the Kremlin website.

Earlier, on 10th October, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov highlighted in his article "Compliance with the principles of the UN Charter in their entirety and interconnection is the key to international peace and stability," that the world is undergoing significant and crucial changes. He stated that a newer, fairer multipolar world order, which reflects the cultural and civilizational diversity of the world, is presently emerging before our eyes.

Prior to this, on 5th October, Putin expressed that a lasting worldwide peace can only be achieved when everyone feels secure and their views are valued. He remarked that if a nation seeks to dominate and the system is characterized by arbitrariness, anyone could potentially come under attack.
The Russian leader expressed that Russia has the responsibility of constructing a new world. He believes that the Russian Federation can significantly contribute to this new world order. However, the West misconstrued this willingness as submission.
