The Kremlin has reported about a telephone conversation that took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It is reported that the Russian leader once again congratulated Modi on the landing of the Chandrayaan-3 station on the moon. “The readiness of both parties was confirmed to further develop bilateral cooperation in the space sector,” the press release states.
The politicians also discussed the results of the 15th BRICS Summit, held this month in Johannesburg. "The significance of the agreements reached was emphasized, primarily the expansion of the BRICS, which will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of the association's influence in international affairs," the Kremlin's press service emphasizes.
The parties agreed on close cooperation in the context of Russia's BRICS chairmanship starting next January and exchanged views in connection with the upcoming G20 summit in New Delhi. In addition, Putin and Modi touched upon topical issues of Russian-Indian relations,
“Positive dynamics of trade and economic cooperation was stated. A mutual disposition was expressed for the consistent implementation of large-scale projects in the energy sector and joint work to expand the international transport and logistics infrastructure.
Earlier, on August 23, Vladimir Putin congratulated Indian President Draupadi Murma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 space station on the Moon near its South Pole.
