Russia asked to build dams for hydro power in West Africa

The Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea in Moscow, Nyankoy Aba, declared his country's interest in involving RusHydro in major infrastructure projects in West Africa. We are talking about the construction of dams, hydroelectric power stations, as well as the establishment of an electrification network, as reported today, July 10, by RIA Novosti.

''The ambassador also recalled the famous words of Vladimir Lenin - "that communism is electrification plus Soviet power" .

“We would like to interest Russian companies in investing in various industries in Guinea, including the energy sector. Recently, the Deputy Minister of Energy of Guinea met with representatives of RusHydro and discussed how the company can help Guinea in electrifying the country,” said Nyankoy Aba.
The diplomat also recalled the contact with RusHydro of his predecessor, who also discussed with Russian investors the possibility of building a network of small hydroelectric power plants in Guinea.

“We will continue to develop this cooperation until we are interested in the Russian side to invest in electrification and agriculture in Guinea,” he concluded.
