The EU has lost its place at the top table and with it its ability to influence global affairs

By Rhod Mackenzie

Europe is again volatile and unstable  and this for the first time since the end of WW2 plus is attempting to be beligerent and  an obstacle to bringing about peace in the Ukraine. Also the US is ignoring it and attempting to bring about peace in the Ukraine  without its involvement and input .Rhod Mackenzie looks at the current situation in which the European elites seen to want to start a war with Russia

It is widely acknowledged among those seasoned observers of international politics that Western Europe has once again become a significant source of volatility and global instability. This is a disappointing conclusion, given that the entire post-1945 order was established to prevent the continent from leading humanity into another catastrophe just like it did twice before . However, it is notable that the most vocal calls for confrontation are emanating from west of the Bug River
(For those who don't know what I an talking about  its river has great geographical and historical significanc and  has delineated the borders of Poland, Ukraine and Belarus for centuries, it is widely believed that the river unites these nations into a single cultural entity, rather than dividing them. It is one of the few major European rivers that is not regulated, and its green banks form a miles-long nature reserves and wildlife sanctuaries. Plus it is in this area that a number of EU member governments are urgently making preparations for war.

Of course the major hostility is directed  towards Russia, which has been Western Europe's neighbour and main trading partner for decades. However, it is increasingly evident that this issue is also having an impact towards  China, this is despite the absence of any genuine political or economic conflict between the subcontinent and Beijing. This  is very significant.
The source of today's assertive EU and West Europe's including the UK ' stance is not external. The issue can be traced back to the region's own political structures, plus a confused sense of who it is within its self, and the growing panic of the out of touch elites  who no longer understand that the world that has changed and is has now taken a different shape around them.

It would be imprudent to assume that the US's  supervision of the clowns in charge in the EU or  Western Europe governments will be sufficient to prevent disastrous miscalculations.
Now in my patreon today I have posted a major article outling the US's current position on the Ukraine and how it has made sure that there is no place for the EU at the negotiating table with Russia on ending the conflict in the Ukraine. I also explain why Marco Rubio the US Secretary of State has been sidelined in the negotiations with Russia and did not even attend the NATO defence ministers meeting in Brussels on Wednesday and is not engaging in talks with his European and EU colleagues.
To really understand what is going on do join my patreon because in there are many details I can not publish on youtube because of a number of issues. Doing doing so gives you a clearer understanding of what the current situation is away from the Western media spin. join us at https://www.patreon.com/c/scobricsinsight
It is important to consider that this is the region has previously experienced two world wars both of them started in Germany and were eagerly embraced by Perfidious Albion or Great Britain as its sometimes known.
It is also worth important remembering that the subcontinent is home to allegedly two nuclear-armed states, Britain and France but whether their nukes are able and useable is up for debate as they are so old as to be almost antedeluvian plus their militaries have been chased out of everywhere  in the World recently. The French have bee kicked out of almost all their colonies in Africa and the UK army is an LGBT illequipped laughing stock whose equipment like fighting vehicles makes its soldiers ill.
While Western Europe is certainly no longer a major the centre of the world economically, up till recently it did maintain a certain significant geopolitical importance, but now the collassal  ineptitude  of two the witches of Macbetth they have in positions of power at the top the EC President   Ursula Fond of Lying and the Head of Foreign Poliy the Estonia Comedian Kaya Kallas have shown they are incapable of influencing events that could potentially impact the entire world.

Plus of course you have the Trio of Idiots in Sir Wan Kier Starmer the British Prime Minister who in the UK is as popular as a bad case of Thrush and is the embodiment of the symptoms of the ailment which is an irritating cunt, with his partner the mincing metrosexual soy boy who married his granny the French president Emanuell Macron and the third member of this so called Coalition of The Willing Alexander Metz the German chancellor the ex Blackrock vampire with all the wit and charm of a Nurenburg abattoir so it is not understood what they are willing to do or  obvious that anybody takes them seriously, certainly not the Americans

The roots of Europe's  current behavior runs deep. The first cause is internal. Since the mid-twentieth century, Western European societies through first the European Economic Community and then the European Union have become unusually consolidated.
Their political elites have mastered the art of preventing domestic upheaval; social unrest, ideological change t so opportunities of large-scale political renewal have all faded away.
Revolutions once shaped the region’s history. Now even their very possibility has disappeared.
Well except of course when they are organised in places like the Balkans or the Caucaus in the name of Freedom and Democracy and organised by the US CIA the Soros foundation and USAID funded NGO's
This has createds a paradox.
A political system that is unable to effect change internally may begin to demonstrate signs of instability externally.

Western Europe's elites are firmly entrenched in their Globalist positions, even when their competence is questionable and that is often. Its societies are apathetic, convinced they have little influence over their own fate. While individual governments may hold differing opinions on specific issues, they demonstrate a remarkable consensus on the major questions, particularly in regard to their foreign policy approach with the exception of people like Orban of Hungary or Fico of Slovakia .
The mechanisms of conformity are so effective that even the most reckless foreign-policy decisions attract little dissent. Europe under the EU has reached a point where individual thinking is superseded by collective instinct.
To summarise, the subcontinent has lost the capacity to engage in peaceful self-reinvention. This internal stagnation is now impacting its external behaviour.

Secondly, EU's declining global position is a significant contributing factor. For many years, the region's dominant economic position ensured that its diplomatic initiatives were generally given due consideration. When these Europeans provided counsel to the international community, others paid heed. While not always a positive experience, they were generally willing to listen.
Those days are now a thing of the past. China's rapid ascent, India's emergence as a major global player, Russia's resurgence and its commitment to safeguarding its interests, plus the political awakening of the Global South have resulted in the EU being relegated to a less than prominent position in the global hierarchy of influential powers.
The world has changed;  Europe and as the EU has not.

Consequently, this bloc is now faced with a situation in which it is no longer a primary actor, yet it is unable to adapt its behaviour. Throughout history, Western Europe has never been a peripheral region. At present, it is approaching this status with great rapidity, and its elites are unable to mentally process and grasp the necessary shift.
This has led to theor ridiculous and frantic attempts to attract attention by escalating military rhetoric and portraying Russia and China as existential military threats.
Now because the EU and UK are  no longer be able to exert influence through economic or diplomatic means, it is likely they will to attempt to do so through the use of alarmism and the language of war.
You also have to take into account  the emergence of groups such as BRICS which  has only served to exacerbate existing anxieties in the region.
These Europeans previously envisaged the G7 as a means of maintaining their influence by aligning themselves with Washington. The BRICS initiative has demonstrated that the global community is capable of organising itself independently of the EU, even in the face of its own preferences. It is therefore understandable why these European leaders feel cornered.

The EU and its Western Europe component is considered by Russians to be part of the collective problem.Europe , and its relationship with the United States which is just one of being  its vassal is not strong. These ties no longer meet the expectations of the local politicians , who have come to expect a guaranteed place at the top table .
The debate surrounding the American "security umbrella" is, in fact, a red herring. The primary concern is Western Europe's apprehension at is diminished status, and the profound desire that the United States will continue to regard it as a peer. Washington, however, has a different perspective on the world and is increasingly focused on its own priorities so treats the EU leadership as its useful idiots, you ony have to remember Trump kicking Fond Of Lying out of the Oval Office as she was not a head of state and told her to sit in the corner, imagine if Kaja Kallas had turned up maybe he might have delgated her to collect the mineral water bottles and bring clean glasses.

When you view these things  together, the combination of  internal and external forces it is obvious that the EU is a significant and potentially volatile player on the global stage . This is not a problem created by one or two inept leaders, nor is it a passing mood linked to temporary economic pains.. It is structural. That is what makes it far more dangerous.
So What is the solution to this problem?
At this time, I don't know the answer Plus history provides no reassuring examples.
In the event of a formerly major power losing influence and being unable to adapt, history has shown that the outcome is most  often not peaceful. Europe is currently following a similar pattern, entrenched in outdated assumptions, unable to adapt, and convinced that the only way to maintain its relevance is to raise the volume and brandish threats.

I don't know if Europe's new instability will become manageable or will erupts into something far worse. It is problem when you have the two witches of Macbeth Ursula Fond of Lying and Kaja Kalas in charge at the EU  both of have been humiliated by China and shown be be idiots by Russia so hoping that any of their decisions would be wise will prove to be wishful thinking.

However I  can state with confidence that the current behaviour of the EU  is not indicative of strength, but rather of serious mental insecurity. A subcontinent that previously dominant global affairs is now witnessing its position being overtaken by other regions. Instead of adapting to a multipolar order, it continues to lashs out, insisting on a global role it no longer is entitled to and can no longer sustain.

This is a key factor in Western Europe's current position as an adversary of peace in Europe..
